I've been an Incredimail user for a couple of years. I enjoy the backgrounds ("stationery") and the smileys, and the notifiers. However, it has its own set of problems you should probably know about before deciding to use it.

First of all, there is a free download version which gives you many of the features described here, but if you want more, you have to pay for the premium product. This also gives you access to technical help, which is almost nonexistent for the free version.

Second, in spite of its junk folder filters, a lot of spam and viruses do get through Incredimail. And trying to remove Incredimail is difficult, especially if you want to export your files and saved mail to another program.

If you do a search on Incredimail and its problems, you'll find a lot of unhappy users. I have tried to figure out a way to switch to another program but it's very complicated. So I just muddle along with Incredimail until I get a new PC and can start fresh with something else.

When the time comes to make a change, try Thunderbird by Mozilla. This is FREE, solid and reliable. A very useful and interesting freeware email manager.

I was an Incredimail user and I also got tired of the general performance. And I also got tired of the continual "harassment" from Incredimail to use their huge bank of animations and tricks that satisfy mostly children to begin with.

I finally made a move for Thunderbird and I have no regrets so far. Thunderbird is MUCH more configurable and/or customizable. There are hundreds of add-ons such as plugins, skins, and so on...
