Several notable organizations are uniting in a week long campaign during Advertising Week, to promote and encourage people to register for free Amber Alerts.

"TV, radio, and print Public Service Announcements encourage all wireless subscribers to aid in the search for abducted children".

A recent press release announced a united front between The Advertising Council, The Wireless Foundation, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and the U.S. Department of Justice who are working in a combined effort to help law enforcement in the recovery of abducted children.

The campaign is encouraging Americans to sign up for free wireless text message alerts.

Wireless subscribers who are capable of receiving text messages, and whose wireless carrier is participating in the Wireless AMBER Alerts campaign, can receive the free Alerts by registering at WirelessAmberAlerts.org

Statistics show the first three hours after an abduction are the most critical to a safe recovery. NCMEC President and CEO Ernie Allen, said, "These public service advertisements are an important reminder that everyone with a wireless device can join in the search for abducted children,”
