MySpace is a social networking site where you can create your own Web profile online and even create your own blog. Join forums and groups on MySpace too.

MySpace is a place where you can create your own space online. With MySpace you can have a page on the Internet that says a little bit about who you are. MySpace will let you add pictures of you and your family. You can even create a MySpace blog so you can keep track of the things that are going on in your life. Do all this and more with MySpace.

Creating a space with MySpace will give you a place on the Net to call your own. You can list your hobbies and favorite things to do on your MySpace profile. You can talk about your life and your family. You can show off pictures you have taken. This is your place to talk about you. MySpace is kind of like a personal business card of yourself, online.

Go go MySpace.com and set up an account. Add a photo of yourself if you have one. Fill out your MySpace profile and start adding friends to your profile. MySpace is a community so find your friend's MySpace account and add them to your MySpace friends list. If your friends don't have MySpace accounts yet you can send them an invite right from your MySpace profile.

Don't, however, add information like your address and telephone number to your MySpace profile. You don't want strangers showing up at your house or calling you on the phone. Also don't talk about where you work or go to school on your MySpace profile, for the same reason. Also be careful what you write about online in general. You never know if your employer, teacher, parent or someone else important in your life will be reading your MySpace profile.

There is a way to make your MySpace profile private or password protected if you don't want other people seeing it. This would be your best bet for privacy on MySpace but not very good if you're on there to make friends and meet people. Use some common sense when posting things on your MySpace account and you will be fine.
