8 Interactive Websites That Trick the Eye and Boggle the Mind

Dec 21, 2008 Jace Shoemaker-Galloway

The following websites offer a wide variety of entertaining and fun optical illusions that boggle the mind and trick the eye.

As the saying goes, “Seeing is believing.” Or is it? Optical illusions are images that are perceived to be one thing, but are something else. Although there are many different types of optical illusions, the images in optical illusions deceive and trick the eye.

The eye sends the information to the brain where a sort of disconnect with the image occurs. Whether the image is a particular shape, size, color, certain dimension, particular depth or is in motion, the viewer attempts to interpret and make sense of what the eye is seeing.

The websites listed below provide a wide variety of mind-boggling optical illusions that are fun, entertaining and free.
