Celebrate Father's Day with free electronic and printable greeting cards. From silly and humorous to inspirational and classic, these cards are sure to be a big hit.

In 1909, Sonora Louis Smart Dodd wanted to do something special for her father, William Smart, a Civil War veteran. Sonora’s mother died during childbirth which left William alone to raise a newborn and five children. Sonora wanted to honor her dad, and his birthday, which was the first Sunday in June, would be the perfect opportunity.

The first Father’s Day was celebrated in Washington, in 1910. Soon, other cities and towns joined the celebration. In 1966, President Lyndon Johnson declared the third Sunday in June, Father’s Day.

Father's Day is a special day to honor and celebrate fathers, step-fathers and those special men in our lives. Whether creating a personalized printable card from home or sending an electronic greeting, these Father’s Day cards are family-friendly and are free of charge.
