Each year, the world is invited to participate in an important educational international blogathon, Safer Internet Day.
InSafe, a European Internet Safety network, brings much needed awareness to Internet safety issues and concerns to many nations and is organizing Safer Internet Day. Over 40 countries are participating in the worldwide blogathon beginning Februrary 12, 2008. “Life online is what you make of it” is this year’s theme.
Schools, libraries, communities and individuals around the world are invited and encouraged to participate in the week-long blogathon that focuses on the various issues children may face online.
Safer Internet Day includes a yearly competition for children within the countries of the Insafe network. Winners will be announced February 12th,2008. Completed projects are available for viewing on the InSafe website.
