In the mood for pizza tonight? With Domino's new Pizza Tracker, customers can view the progress of their Italian pie order, from start to finish, online.
Domino’s Pizza recently unveiled a brand new interactive tool that tracks pizza from the moment it is ordered until it leaves the store.
Customers no longer have to wonder if an order went through properly, if it is sitting in limbo or when the pizza will be arriving. Now customers can watch the progress of their order by viewing the simple horizontal bar on Domino's website. With the Pizza Tracker, not only will customers have peace-of-mind knowing the status of those tasty pies and side orders, the tracker is fun to watch as the order moves from stage to stage in real-time.
According to Domino’s, the tracker is accurate within 40 seconds. The new Pizza Tracker is presently available in 3,400 stores and is scheduled to be rolled out in all Domino’s stores by June 30, 2008.
Currently, Domino's PIzza is the only national pizza company offering such technology. (Another United States pizza chain, Papa Johns, is currently offering a GPS-based tracking system for several stores in Alabama). While the new interactive tracker provides an accurate, up-to-the-minute account on orders as they are processed, unfortunately the tracker stops short once the preparation process is finished. Once the order leaves the store for delivery, tracking information is no longer available. While the tracker offers numerous innovative advantages for customers, tracking orders from preparation to delivery is preferable.
Aside from the lack of information during the delivery process, the new Internet Pizza Tracker is a simple, convenient and fun high-tech tool for pizza lovers.
For those interested in counting calories or fat intake, nutritional information is available on the website.
